With 20 years of experience in drug discovery and drug development from bench to clinical proof of concept in both pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry. He has led or participated in over 10 NCEs development programs including first in class drugs in oncology, cardiology and CNS. He has driven the innovation strategy and pipeline expansion in several successfull biotechnology companies. He held senior  leadership roles in biotech and biopharma companies acting as CSO at Genoscience Pharma and more recently as Vice President research and development at Sanifit Thera/csl Vifor. In 2023, he joined XENOTHERA as Chief Scientific Officer.

Firas is co-inventor of 11 international patents in oncology and cardiology and reviewer for European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences since 2016.
